The Buddha’s Silence Wins

One day the Buddha was meditating. An elderly man came in and started abusing the Buddha most ruthlessly. The Buddha remained absolutely silent.
How long could he continue his abuse? After a while he stopped and was about to leave the place. But the Buddha said, “Just wait, please. I have something to ask you. Tell me, wehn you offer gifts to a person, if he does no accept your gifts, what do you do?”
“I just take them back.”
The Buddha said, “Well, you have been trying to offer me the gifts that you brought with you. Since I have not accepted your gifts, you are taking them back with you.”
The man felt sad and ashamed of his conduct. He begged forgiveness of the Buddha. The Buddha forgave him, and eventually he became a close disciple of the Buddha.

How to start our day in a good mood

Not many people recognize the importance of how they start their day. All people want to be inspired at all the day. Studies have shown that how you start your day can greatly influence how your day actually goes. For many people, the cringing sound the dreaded alarm makes has them burrowing further under the duvet, not quite ready to face the world. So there you have it. You don’t think you’re ready now, and you won’t be. However if you bounce up out of your bed and are feeling a rush of energy in your mind and body, your day is going to be a breeze. Many people argue that this is not in their control, well newsflash, it is. It has been said that we oftentimes get what we expect. If we expect something good, it has a way of showing up. If we expect something bad, it too has a way of showing up. So if you wake up expecting a horrible day, chances are, it will be one. It’s not easy for everyone to wake up in the best of moods, but here are a few tips and tricks to do so for being in a good mood and to be motivated:
  1. Make sure you get enough sleep – Sleep deprivation is one of the leading causes of depression and/or anxiety. Adults are suggested a good 8 hours of sleep and it is absolutely essential for them to have it.
  2. Think positive – Be it day or night, having a positive attitude toward life is bound to make you feel happy throughout the day, every day. Instead of “Agh! Monday again! Another stressful week starts.” How about “The weather is so pleasant today-the sun is shining; I’ll have lunch outside today with a bunch of good friends.”
If possible, take time to think of all of the good things in your life and thank God for them; family, friends, and your health. Spend a few minutes just thanking God for his blessings.
  3. Stretch/Exercise – Pilates, yoga or simple just stretching before you even get out of the best is sure to make you feel good. It is totally okay if hitting the gym first thing in the morning isn’t one of your favorite things, you can do simple exercises in your bedroom and get that boost going.
  4. Breakfast – Do not, under any circumstances, skip breakfast. Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day, for obvious reasons. A healthy breakfast gives you the strength and energy to start your day and helps your body maintain a healthy metabolism. So, you ought to prepare yourself something to eat after you wake up. Even if you don’t have the time, then wake up a few minutes earlier to prepare yourself a light meal. No excuses accepted!
  5. Dress up! – Dressing well before you set out for your day has been observed to have positive effects on your attitude (self-confidence) and the way people attend to you. Consequently, this makes your day a much better one than if you were to be dressed like a slob!
Practicing these tips will make you feel much better, motivating you and happier every morning, and it will also help you be more positive and lively. When you are in a good mood, you broadcast these vibes all around you, affecting the people around you and your surroundings accordingly.

Let it Go

When somebody told me that he has failed in his exams, my question is, “Is it a law that you will pass everytime?”
When someone told me that my boyfriend broke up with me, my question is, “Is it a rule that you will have successful relationships everywhere?”
When somebody asked me why am I in depression, my question is, “Is it compulsory to have confidence all the time?”
When someone cried to me about his huge business loss due to his wrong decision, my question is, “Is it possible that you take all right decisions?”
The fact is our expectation that life has to be perfect/permanent is the biggest reason of our unhappiness.
One has to understand the law of impermanence of nature.
After each sunny day, there has to be a dark night, after each birth there have to be certain deaths, for the full moon to come again it has to pass through no moon. In this imperfection of nature, there is perfection.
So stop taking your failures and bad part of your life soooo personally or intensely, even God does not like to give you pain but its the cycle through which you have to pass. Prepare yourself for one more fight after each fall because even failures cannot be permanent…!
Enjoy life….
Your breath comes to go.
Your thoughts come to go.
Your words come to go.
Your actions come to go.
Your feelings come to go.
Your illnesses come to go.
Your phases come to go.
Your seasons come to go.
You have come to go.
Then why do you hold on to your guilt, anger, unforgiveness, hatred
so so so tightly,
when it too has come to go…
Let it go.

Inspirational Story – Obstacle or an Opportunity?

We find many difficulties and hard time in different phases of life. Do you know what is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity? Our attitude towards it. Read an inspirational story.

In ancient times, there was a wise king in India. After one of the ministers of his kingdom passed away, he wanted to appoint a responsible person to fill the position.

He thought an idea for electing a suitable person. He placed a big stone on roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock.

Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way. Then a poor and thin man came along carrying a load of pots. Upon approaching the rock, the man laid his pots down and tried to move the stone aside. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded.

When he was done, he noticed a pouch from where he removed the stone. It contained gold coins and a note from the king, “The gold is for the person who removed stone from the roadway. Congratulations for being a part of ministry of the Kingdom.”

The potter learned what many of us never understand.

“Every opportunity has a difficulty, and every difficulty has an opportunity.”

Law of Detachment: How To Manifest Faster

Why Embracing the Law of Detachment Can Help You Manifest Faster?

This article provides an overview of what the law of detachment is and how embracing it can help you manifest those things you desire in life.

The law of detachment is all about learning how to let go of those things you want, need and desire. It is often the missing link in the law of attraction.

When you can learn to lighten your grip, let go and trust that the universe wants you to be happy, you change your vibration from one of attachment to one of detachment. Then you work with the flow, instead of abruptly controlling the flow.

How Does This Law Differ From the Law of Attraction?

The law of attraction involves the principle of “like attracts like.” This law tells us that you attract whatever it is that you are continually thinking about.

When you become too attached to something, your energy actually pushes your desires away. When you can learn to detach from something, you send out a powerful message helping you manifest much more quickly.

The Law of Detachment Helps Expand Your Vision

When you are attached to a specific desire, you actually narrow your focus. When you detach from a desire, you expand your focus. When you are detached, you are more open to different possibilities that may present themselves.

Being detached is in many ways opposite of a narrow focus because it allows you to take your blinders off and expand your vision. Being detached allows you to enlarge your funnel of opportunity.

Getting Into the Flow of Detachment

• Detaching from your desire opens up new options and new opportunities because you don’t know exactly how your desire might come back to you.

• The law of detachment is all about relinquishing your attachment to the known.

• The law of detachment is all about unlimited, boundless, limitless, abundance in all things, all ways.

For most of us, our obstacles are imagined – being detached allows you to be free!

Embracing Uncertainty

• Learning how to let go is all about embracing uncertainty.

• It is about letting go and letting life happen.

• It’s about synchronicity and being in the right place at the right time.

• It’s about trusting that the universe will bring you back something much greater than you could ever imagine.

The Law of Detachment Is the Opposite of Forcing a Specific Solution

• It is about relinquishing control and knowing that you will be fine with or without your desire.

• Being too attached to something only causes you to hold onto it too much.

• It creates a nervous energy, which pushes things away.

• Detaching from your desire means keeping the magic and the mystery alive.

The Law of Infinite Possibilities

• Being open to many different solutions creates a powerful kind of energy because you aren’t really sure how your desire might come back.

The Wisdom of “Uncertainty”

• By committing yourself to detachment, you are open to a myriad of solutions.

• It is about stepping into the unknown with confidence and grace.

• It is about surrendering to a higher power and having faith that what you want will be presented to you in the perfect time and in the perfect way.

How to Embrace the Law of Detachment

• Commit to the principle of detachment by allowing yourself to expand your horizons. It is about being open to whatever might come back, even if what you get is not quite what you expect. It is about trusting 100 percent that you are on the right path.

• Factor in uncertainty – this is an essential ingredient to success. By embracing uncertainty, you create order out of chaos and confusion.

• Boldly step into the field of infinite possibilities.

Conclusion

Embracing the law of detachment is about expanding your horizons. It is about expecting the unexpected. It is about being open to infinite choices and multiple solutions. It is about acknowledging that there is a higher force at work.

It is about experiencing all of the fun, the magic and mystery of life. When you embrace the unknown, life opens up in an entirely new way, and embracing the law of detachment can help you do so in a big way.

How to Handle the Difficult Times

How to Handle the Difficult TimesSometimes, life just wallops us against the head, deals us with such a blow that it takes our breath away.

A loved one dies, you lose a job, someone you care about gets sick, your car gets totaled, or hopelessness hits you.

What do we do when the world around us crumbles, when we can’t seem to find a way out?

The times when things are falling apart are exactly the best times to practice mindfulness and compassion. These are the times we’re preparing for, in a way, when we meditate regularly with mindfulness and compassion, during the non-traumatic times.

The times when the world is collapsing are the richest areas of exploration, and when we need the tools most.

So the way to work with these times is this:

Stay with the pain. Don’t run from it, don’t try to do anything about it, but face it with courage.

Stay with the bodily feeling, dropping below your story, and smile at it, be friendly with it, have the braveness to just be with it like you would with a friend who’s hurting.

Do it in small doses if that’s all you can handle. Do it with patience, noticing that your mind wants to run. Keep coming back, and you’ll earn trust in yourself to stay with the hard feelings.

Eventually, you see that the feelings aren’t so bad, that you can stay with them and the world won’t end, that they’ll go away like a passing cloud, that these feelings and thoughts aren’t you but just passing phenomena. You’ll start to take them less seriously, see that they’re No Big Deal, hold them lightly, give them space in your mind.

When the world is falling apart, this is the time to practice.
