Inspirational Story – Obstacle or an Opportunity?

We find many difficulties and hard time in different phases of life. Do you know what is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity? Our attitude towards it. Read an inspirational story.

In ancient times, there was a wise king in India. After one of the ministers of his kingdom passed away, he wanted to appoint a responsible person to fill the position.

He thought an idea for electing a suitable person. He placed a big stone on roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock.

Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way. Then a poor and thin man came along carrying a load of pots. Upon approaching the rock, the man laid his pots down and tried to move the stone aside. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded.

When he was done, he noticed a pouch from where he removed the stone. It contained gold coins and a note from the king, “The gold is for the person who removed stone from the roadway. Congratulations for being a part of ministry of the Kingdom.”

The potter learned what many of us never understand.

“Every opportunity has a difficulty, and every difficulty has an opportunity.”
